About Alt Brick Deals

Alt Brick Deals is an independent price comparison and discovery tool for LEGO-compatible building sets. We curate information from across the alternative brick marketplace to help buyers easily find the sets they're looking for, identify which manufacturer actually made them, and buy from high-quality, trusted sellers.

Why This Exists

The alternative brick market has grown significantly. Brands like Mould King, CaDa, Reobrix, and JieStar produce impressive sets — often with unique designs, motorized features, and solid build quality — at lower price points. But finding the right set at the right price from a reliable seller can take a lot of research.

AliExpress is the primary marketplace, but:

• The same set appears under dozens of listings at wildly different prices
• Product titles are stuffed with keywords and rarely mention the actual brand
• Seller quality varies enormously — some are fantastic, others ship wrong products
• Prices fluctuate with "welcome deals," new user discounts, and choice badges
• It's nearly impossible to compare options without opening dozens of tabs

Alt Brick Deals solves this by automatically crawling, classifying, and organizing this data into a single searchable database.

How It Works

We curate product information from AliExpress listings, gathering detailed data to help buyers make informed decisions:

• Pricing: Current price, original price, discount percentage, welcome deal vs. regular pricing
• Seller info: Store name, positive feedback rating, order volume
• Product details: Piece count, set codes, product variants/options
• Brand matching: We cross-reference listings with manufacturer catalogs to identify the actual brand and set
• Trust signals: We incorporate community knowledge from Reddit's r/lepin subreddit, including store ratings and buying guides

Our Data

Everything runs on a local SQLite database queried directly in your browser — no server-side processing, no tracking, no accounts required. The database is updated regularly with fresh crawl data.
